Shawnee Presbyterian Church offers a hostel for groups of 15-35 throughout the year. We are known for hosting groups in the winter because of our close proximity to Shawnee Ski Mountain. We have a full-service kitchen, a dining area, which also serves as a sleeping area, two bathrooms with showers in each, and a sitting area. This area has a pull-out couch and a large TV screen for DVD use only. There are also pull-out couches in an adjoining room.

We pride ourselves on our friendliness and helpfulness! A host will be in contact with you the week before your visit and will greet you upon your arrival. They will escort you throughout the building to familiarize you with our hostel.

The price for this accommodation is $27 per person per night. Quite a bargain! There is a $200 deposit due to secure your date. This is refundable up to within 4 weeks of your visit. Check-in time is at your convenience. Check out time is 9:00 am.

Our hostel is available throughout the year with very few dates blocked out. Please give us a call at 570.421.5518 or email us at info@shawneepresbyterianchurch.com to get more information.

Emergency Food Pantry

The Shawnee Presbyterian Church food pantry is open to all people in need.

We can always use toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent, cleaning supplies, and items that are not covered by food stamps.

These food items are most in demand: fruit, pasta, mac and cheese (with creamy cheese pouch, not powdered, for families without milk), drink boxes, canned chicken, cereal, pancake mix, rice.

During the holidays, the pantry experiences increased demand. Please consider making an extra donation of supplies during this time.

If you would like to let others know about the food pantry, please feel free to download and distribute our flyer.
